Established in 1873 as a gentlemen's literary society and re-formed in 1977 as a mixed club after being in abeyance from the outbreak of World War II, Perth Burns Club has had an eventful history and is open to all who share an interest in the culture and heritage of Scotland.

The objectives of the Perth Burns Club are:

  1. To promote social and friendly communication amongst the members by social gathering or otherwise.
  2. To encourage the study of the life and works of Robert Burns.
  3. To foster an interest in Scottish literature, art and music by lectures, competitions or otherwise.
  4. To support the objects of The Robert Burns World Federation.
